Suggest Treatment For Severe Itching Along The Eyelids

default
Posted on Mon, 27 Jul 2015
Question: Since I've been very young my eyes have itched terribly, along the eyelid and close to the lash base. The only relief I get is when I pull out the lashes. I look like a freak. Can you help me.

Brief Answer:
This requires treatment by the use of antiallergic eye drops.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.

I reviewed your history.
These symptoms indicate allergic blepharitis.
This requires treatment by the use of antiallergic eye drops and antiallergic medications.

I would like to suggest you to use antiallergic eye drops like olopatadine eye drops. Along with the eye drops, the use of lid scrubs to clean the eye lid margins will be of help. Since most of the allergic conditions run a long course treatment is required for minimum of 2-3 months or more depending on the severity of the condition.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for prescription of the eye drops.

Hope this information is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
With regards
