Question: Hello I was wonder if you can help me I'm having severe back pain now for 2 weeks. I have been having back pain for about 5 years, but it hasn't ever been this bad before! If I were to rate the pain out of 10 it would be 7-8 and when I get the sever pain it's 10 I'm hunched over its so bad sometimes and wakes me up in the middle of the night sometimes. I've been to a walk-in clinic yesterday and he put me on Apo naproxen and Cyclobenzaprine it can make me feel a bit dizzy and it hasn't even been a day yet..as I work part time on weekends and home with my son I do not want to take this med to much so try to take it at night. I've had notice the past week I've been going to the washroom more frequently it doesn't hurt or burn when I go but it's alot of urine. I'm not sure if it has something to do with my back pain as i have experienced this back pain in the past but hasn't lasted this long and haven't had the urine problem before wig back pain. I'm not sure what to do at this point ...

Brief Answer:
Get an ultrasound of brain done.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. The back pain is likely to be occurring due to lumbar spondylosis wherein the spinal nerves leaving from the either sides of the vertebral column, get compressed. A X ray of Lumbo sacral spine (AP and Lateral) will help in confirming. Please upload the reports after you get the tests done and I will guide you further.

Depending upon the findings the intervention can be planned. Hot compress will provide relief. Get the exercises demonstrated by a physical therapist. Ultrasonotherapy may help. If the problem still persists vertebral traction may be needed. Surgery could be needed in extreme cases.
