Suggest Treatment For Radiating Pain In The Back

Question: Hi. I am very concerned about my 36 year old son. He has been working outside (He is a cable tv installer) in extreme heat lately. Im not sure if thats all it is. But he has had a few mornings of waking up with nausea (a few times he actually did vomit) one time he came home with a take out dinner...ate it and promptly vomited. the latest symptom is he has been feeling clammy and he told me he was talking with a customer when he almost fell to his knees in extreme radiating pain in his upper back (and upper rib cage) he said the pain was brief and then went away. This morning he is experiencing clamminess of his skin. I cannot convince him to go to the doctors and get checked. Other than what I just told you he has always been a very healthy kid/teenager/ and man. This is all new and Im worried. Thank you for any advice you can give me. (since I can no longer make him do anything! Lol)

Brief Answer:
He needs to drink much fluids!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have reviewed this information fully and it points to signs of fluid depletion. This most likely related to his work and exposure to very high temperatures. He will need to stay off work, schedule outdoors work when the weather is more friendly with lower temperatures and constantly drink much fluids to replace the water and electrolytes lost. He should also try to stop frequently while at look to rest, sit in a colder milieu and drink much water, consciously to limit the consequences of this.

I hope this helps. I wish your son well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
