Brief Answer: Throat swelling and irritation Detailed Answer: Hi there, alot of the time, that feeling of the pill being lodged in the throat is due to irritation and swelling from the pill. As long as she is breathing well, i don't believe the pill is causing her any harm. The pill might have gone down awhile ago when she drank the water but the sensation would remain for a few hours. The swelling should come down in a few hours and so should the sensation. If it persists, then she needs to get to the local urgent care unit where they can look inside her throat and take out the pill wherever it has gotten lodged. Don't try and induce vomiting.. it always makes things worse. Trust me on that. People have a tendency to try that, they end up breathing in a bit of the vomitus and then they have an infection in their lungs. Not worth it. Just wait and watch. Head to the ER if it's not getting better. Hope this helps. Feel Free to Follow-up. Thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic.com
