Brief Answer:
Lorazepam

Detailed Answer:
It is not the objective of this forum to recommend specific medications or their doses.
Furthermore, such a practice would require the opportunity to examine the patient thoroughly which obviously is not possible through online platforms.

However, in general I do not advise my patients undergoing thyroid biopsy to take any medication to relieve their anxiety.

But if someone really is very nervous and sleepless then 2 mg lorazepam usually works fine at bedtime.

I suggest you check with your healthcare provider as to whether this is okay for you to do.

Brief Answer:
Follow up

Detailed Answer:
Treatment depends on the type of cancer and the size of it.

For example, a PTC (Papillary Thyroid cancer) which is only a few millimeters in size may require only half the thyroid to be removed. If it is more than 1 centimeter then the entire thyroid may be removed. Larger sizes may requires 'dissection' of glands ('lymph nodes' ) in the neck.

These are just a few examples and treatments are individualized for each person.
