Question: I have pain in my throat for past 4 weeks. While laughing or eating only its paining. While speaking its not paining

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. Get your throat examined. That will settle the diagnosis.

2. Common causes for a chronic sore throat are:
a. A mild infection including chronic tonsillitis or granular pharyngitis.
b. Allergy to foodstuff
c. Acid reflux
d. A post nasal drip
e. Dehydration or mouth breathing (snoring)

3. You may use a medicated mouthwash, an anti-allergic an anti-reflux medication. The rest of the treatment has to decided by your doctor depending upon the findings during the examination.
