Posted on Tue, 17 Mar 2015
Question: My husband testicles have been hurting him for the past week and a half. The pain started in the left testicle and moved to the right. The pain at first radiated up into the abdomen. The pain has been dull aching, throbbing, and sharp. He says that it sometimes feels as if the testicles are jelly like and he can tell they are down there. They even hurt him when he lifst or pushes on things. I would really like to know what is going on with him and what we need to do to treat him.

Brief Answer:
Probably epididimitis or orchitis

Detailed Answer:
These symptoms and fact that it lasts for 10 days indicate in first palce that there is inflammation of testicle called orchitis or part of testis called epididimits. He needs antibiotic therapy definitely, but first he should do urine analysis and ultrasound so consult your urologist. WIsh you good health. Regards
