Question: I have a continuing mild cough in my upper chest. Not enough to clear any sputum, just a constant mild, flemy cough. Can that be something other than COPD

I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with a cough. There are numerous reasons for someone to have a cough and COPD. The other causes of a cough include regular asthma, upper respiratory infections, allergic rhinitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease congestive heart failure, allergic pneumonitis, viral pneumonia and cancer. So there are numerous causes of a cough. I recommend that you see your medical provider to be examined and x-ray done to see why you have a cough.
