Suggest Treatment For Injury In Nipples While Breastfeeding
Question: I have around 8+ months baby boy, while giving feed to him he used to cut my breast nipples so both nipples got injured and even blood also came. So what should I do which doesn't harm baby as well.

a. Only wear cotton innerwear
b. You can apply Nipcare cream immediately over the area after cleansing it properly with warm water and savlon after every feed.
c. Do feed from one breast only at a time. Give rest to the other breast. Next time feed from the other breast. Do not feed for more than 10 minutes at a time. This much time is sufficient for the baby to extract 80% milk from the breast. After that the baby starts cutting.
Doing a hot compress in the painful area will also help in healing.
