Question: Around 45 days back a small stone fall on the leg. we consulted a RMP in our village. He dressed the wound and tied a bandage.Every alternate day he used to change the bandage. After a week a kind of water started coming out from the wound. We consulted a surgeon. He admitted the patient and did a small surgery to remove the bad flesh from the wound. After 3 days during discharge he asked us to change the bandage every day with any general physician and need to consult him after 10 days. Even though the pain got reduced at the wound and she also feeling better we visited him after 10 days. But he again removed the new flesh whatever has grown there. Same thing happend for 3 times when we visited him after every 10 days. Now today he is telling that he need to do another surgery to cut the flesh from someother place in the body and replace there. Please let us know what exactly is happening and are we on the correct medication. Also suggest us some medicine if we are not on the correct medication. The sugar and BP are normal to the patient (no sugar or BP complaint till now).

Brief Answer:
Go for Skin grafting

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for a detailed and chronological history.

This looks to be a large ulcer crater which needs a skin covering, this is what he meant by taking the flesh from some other place and putting on the wound.
This is also called '' skin grafting''.
The benefits of skin grafting is that it covers the area and once attached the the base, there will be no need to go for dressing at all.

If the wound is not healing for such a long time , skin grafting is the best way for an early cure. Go for it. Add multi-vitamins and continue the medicines as per your Surgeon's advise.
