Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that there are not any specific medical skema shown to be superior in the treatment of blood pressure.

The choice of the antihypertensive drugs is usually based on the blood pressure values and individual characteristics (comorbidities and tolerance to the drug).

I would recommend starting with an ACEI (ramiprile, lisinopril, etc.) or ARB class (valsartan, olmesartan, etc.). These drugs have a long half life and can be taken once in the morming as a unic daily dose or divided every hours.

Another class of antihypertensive drug to consider would be diuretics like hydroclorothyazide, triamterene, etc.. They are also taken once in the morning.

If yout blood pressure values are still high with the above mentioned drugs, or you do not tolerate them, I would recommend taking a calcium channel blocker (amlodipine, nicardipine, etc.). They can also be taken once a day as a unic daily dose, usually after lunch or at afternoon.

You should discuss with your attending physician on the above treatment options.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
