Question: After being hospitalized with hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, about how long would it take for an otherwise healthy female patient in early 20's to recover enough to hike a mile or two?

Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome causes myocardial depression and increased pulmonary vascular permeability causing pulmonary edema.Most patients
surviving the first 48 h of hospitalization are extubated (if on ventillatory support as in individual cases) and discharged within a few days with no apparent long-term residua.However myocardial recovery may take time and Cardiac ejection fraction should be normal (normal range 55-70%) before resuming strenuous physical activity. It may take at least 04 weeks for full recovery.
