Question: I've been diagnosed with a Grade III Glioma, diffuse astrosystoma...I'm to begin Temodar 100mg for 42 days, then 5 days on and 22 days off after. What can I expect?

Thanks for your query.

Though you have not given the details, I assume that you have undergone a complete surgery and now radiation is to given along with concurrent temozolomide. This is the standard therapy for grade 3 glioma.

With this, the disease can be controlled for many years. However, it can come back later. The radiotherapy and chemotherapy is given to prevent it or delay it as long as possible.

Some side effects like nausea vomiting can be expected but controllable with meds.
