Brief Answer:
Esophageal disease to be checked with Gastroscopy

Detailed Answer:
Dear patient,

when someone with your symptoms comes to my office i think about conditions of the esophagus first:

possible causes for your symptoms are esophagus diverticulum ( is a pouch that protrudes outward in a weak portion of the esophageal lining) or another possibility would be a so called achalasia (disease of the muscle of the esophagus).

This can be further diagnosed with a gastroscopy and esophagus manometry.

Please discuss this with your local gp and gastroenterologist for an examination.

Best regards
