Suggest Treatment For Extreme Dizziness For Close To A Month, Shivering, Sweating And Weakness

Question: I have had extreme dizziness for approximately 4 weeks. My doc prescribed Meclozine two weeks ago and it hasn't helped at all.

When I exert myself and start getting hot I become shaky, sweaty, very weak and not exactly dizzy but kinda zoned out. This has been occurring since I had a non-debilitating stroke 7 years ago.

Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to thyroid hormone imbalance or to vertebro basilary insufficiency (considering your past medical history).

For this reason, I would recommend checking your thyroid hormone levels and then performing a Doppler ultrasound of the carotid arteries and vertebral arteries in order to exclude possible narrowing.

A brain MRI with MR-angio would help examine your intracranial arteries better.

Hope you will find this answer helpful! Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing good health.
