Question: Yes, I have a large Torus Palatinus, which is quite uncomfortable specially eating hard foods. Will you tell me which complications can occur from surgical removal, and also whether the surgery is really recommended.

It can be removed under local or general anesthesia depending upon its size.
Intra-operative complications include bleeding, perforation of the palate into the nasal cavity and fracture of palate bone.
Postoperative complications include wound hematoma, infection and flap necrosis.
But these are not life threatning complications and can easily be managed.
