Question: I was supposed to get my period this week. On Thursday I was cramping and spotting So I thought my period has arrived but the next day on Friday there was no sign of my period as well as no period on Saturday. And today Sunday out of no where I started cramping and I'm spotting and I also saw tiny blood clots in my urine. I thought that maybe I was pregnant but after today I'm worried and don't know what's going on can I still be pregnant? Or is there something serious going on?

Brief Answer:
This is normal to have less bleeding once in a while

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns about spotting instead of regular periods.

Your spotting is nothing but your periods in less quantity this time.

It is common to have such bleeding pattern of reduced flow once in a while and there is nothing to worry about it.

This cannot be anything else like implantation bleeding which would have occurred earlier than your expected date.

I suggest you relax and dont think about pregnancy as a possibility. This is nothing serious. Dont worry.

You will have normal periods next cycle.

Regards,
Dr. Soumya
