Question: I quit smoking two weeks ago. I was a casual smoker - 1 to 2 packs a week, at most. I have noticed since then my chest feels tight and congested. Is this just my body cleaning itself out, like I read could happen?

Brief Answer:
Congratulation on quitting!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this feeling of a tight and congested chest. These are changes that can occur when you quit smoking. Trust me, this is one of the smartest decisions you have made and this will earn you better health moving forward. These symptoms would be annoying but do not give in to returning to consuming cigarettes. The good news is that they will slowly fade away and allow you to continue enjoying great health.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
