Question: Hello team,
my son Arimit is 6 weeks old and diagnose with the problem of laryngomalacia. He is my first baby. He is facing too much difficulty in breathing and he moves his hands here and there on his face to breathe when he cant inhale easily. His face turns red like he is begging for breathing. This makes me cry when I see him like this. Everytime he sleeps and suddenly he awakes as he cant breathe that time.
Please help me.

The treatment necessary for laryngomalacia is wait & watch.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX ,
Thanks for the query.

I have read your query , reviewed your medications and understand your concern.

The treatment necessary for laryngomalacia is wait & watch.

It gradually improves and noises disappear by age 2 years in almost all infants.
The noise steadily increases over the first 6 months. Then there will be gradual disappearance of the noise.

Avoid soft bedding, pillows & sleep infant in supine position .

Use saline nasal drop when he will get cold to clear nasal passage .
Continue Calcium and VItamin D .

Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
