Question: Hello, my name is XXXXXXX I have recently started walking a lot; I have been walking about four miles every day for a couple of weeks now. I got a blister on the side of my toe and it keeps getting bigger. For the past few days I have taken a break to give the blister time to heal. I have tried wearing multiple socks, covering it in gause, using petroleum gelly, but I cannot seem to get it to go down. Should I follow the proper steps to drain it or should I just leave it be. I walk about 2 miles every day just do
ing errands and going to school, by the way.

Brief answer....get it drained
Detailed answer..
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and seen the photograph.
You need to get it drained and since it is showing considerable pus formation and inflammation, you need to take an antibiotic course along with anti inflammatory and analgesic medicines.
A regular dressing with antibiotic ointment and oral medications should heal it in 5-7 days.
Consult your doctor and get the job done.
I hope it helps however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
