Suggest Treatment For Blister On Forehead

default
Posted on Tue, 21 Oct 2014
Question: my symptom started as a bump on my forehead. I am diabetic so healing was very slow. the pores of the skin on the bump were very open and when I squeezed the bump a clear fluid came out...like a blister. eventually I had my doctor fax an antibiotic to help the healing and it healed, however; it left a scar. I now have a small blister on the scar. I have popped the scar and applied an antibiotic gel.

Brief Answer:
culture of pus and control of blood sugars needed

Detailed Answer:
Since the lesion is appearing again it would be better to send the pus for culture. Also the dose of antibiotics must be proper and for correct duration. Do not stop antibiotics without complete healing of the lesion.
Most important is that your blood sugars need to be maintained as near to normal as possible. Diabetics are prone to infections and wound problems occur only if the sugars are not under control. Infections heal quickly if the blood sugars are normal
