Suggest Treatment For Bladder Pain While Having Implanted Mesh

default
Posted on Wed, 6 May 2015
Question: I had a bladder sling with mesh. I have seen a urologist... Did a urodynamic and c-scope. Afterwards he told me my bladder was "free floating". Now waiting to hear from him to figure out what to do, I am experiencing some pretty tough pain in my hips...Over the counter pain relievers are not helping. Is what I am experiencing expected with the mesh implant? It is the mesh implant that is involved with the lawsuit. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you, XXXXXXX XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Pain is possibly related to implanted mesh.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam.

I understand your query and concern.

The bladder pain in your case is possibly related to the implanted mesh.

Implanted meshes are sometimes prone for infection and stone formation.

This can present as pain in the region of thigh.

I advise you also get an ultrasound of the renal system.

Yes certainly a failed mesh is a criteria for a lawsuit.

Post your further queries if any.

Thank you.

I have never had any problems with my kidneys.... that I know of. As far as an infection, wouldn't I have a fever?
Do I have to go to a renal specialist? I don't know where to go or ask...The Doctors seem to be keeping me at arms length....

Brief Answer:
Consult Nephrologist or Urologist.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam.

I understand your concern.

Yes infections usually cause fever, but not in all cases.

Yes you need to certainly visit Nephrologist or a Urologist.

You can find them in the same hospital where you had uroscan.

Or else let me know the residential area of yours ,so that I can let you know the available doctors there.

Thank you.
