Posted on Mon, 4 Sep 2017
Question: I am experiencing a high level of anxiety and panic attacks from worrying about a problem I am having with my ear that I am fearful won't resolve itself. I have anxiety in general as well and difficulty relaxing and sleeping. Is there something that is safe but that may help me?

Brief Answer:
Consultation

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for your question.

What you are describing is consistent with generalized anxiety. The treatment of this problem is best achieved with a combination of an SSRI medication such as Lexapro combined with weekly cognitive behavioral therapy with a trained therapy. I recommend looking into one or ideally both of these options to help manage this problem.
