Brief Answer:
Management of acne

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
Acne is a very common disorder in your age group occurring due to hormonal disturbances.
You need to take treatment for a long duration as it is a chronic disease.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to take capsule isotretinoin 20 mg once daily in the morning after breakfast after doing baseline lipid profile and liver function tests. These tests need to be repeated after every 2 months while on isotretinoin.
Besides this apply benzoyl peroxide 10 percent gel on the pimples over the neck, shoulders and back twice daily and apply adapelene 0.1 percent gel on the face pimples at night.
You need to continue this under the supervision of the dermatologist.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
Also keep your face dry, avoid oiling of scalp, reduce the intake of sugary foods, use cosmetics labelled as noncomedogenic, avoid wearing tight occlusive clothing and don't pick pimples.
I hope to have answered your query and would be happy to clarify any further doubts.
Regards
Dr Asmeet

Brief Answer:
Start with the medicines

Detailed Answer:
Hi
The medicines suggested by me and prescribed by your doctor are almost similar.
You can start using them.
In cases of acne they need to be continued for atleast 5-6 months to avoid recurrences.
Otherwise acne recurs after few weeks of stopping the medicines.
Moreover these should be taken under doctor's supervision.
