Brief Answer:
Taking 2 doses is usually harmless if taken on a single occasion

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

The medicines amlodipine and carvedilol are for treatment of hypertension and heart problems. Taking 2 doses on a single occasion usually will not cause any serious problems.

The highest dose recommended for amlodipine is 10 mg in a day and for carvedilol it is 50 to 80 mg per day.

Under normal circumstances she will not have any adverse effects due to taking 2 doses.

Please do let us know the dose she has taken.

However please watch for any symptoms like shortness of breath, bluish colored fingernails, dizziness, weakness, fainting, and seizures which might require clinical attention, though these symptoms are unlikely to occur if she is in relatively good general condition.

Please avoid this from happening again.

Hope your query is answered.
