Brief Answer:
Supportive care IBS

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Xifaxan is rifaximin and is basically an antibiotic for intestinal bacteria. It is for sure indicated for irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea predominance. However gas and bloating alone is not helped by it and it needs complete diet and lifestyle modification. Eat small frequent meals, reduce dairy products, spicy meals, processed canned foods, tea, coffee, alcohol, beverages, beer etc. eat more fiber and take more fluids. Use yogurt and peppermint frequently and adapt good bowel habits. I am sure gas and bloating will resolve.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
