Question: I have CIDP. I'am being treated with infusions of IVIG 120m every three weeks. Iam a Veit Nam Vet. I also had a bad bought with MRSA and put on heavy doses of antibiotics for two and a half months twice a day. Do you see any correlation.

Brief Answer:
No direct connection between these two.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your concern.
There is no direct connection between these two.
But CIDP patients tend to hospitalize more frequently and for longer duration,so iatrogenic and hospital acquired infections are more in them.
MRSA is iatrogenic and hospital acquired.
So please let me know if you have any prolonged hospital admission in the past.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
