Question: Grandma is 84 and found out she have hemorrhoid. went to do colonscopy test and found out her kidney is mot functioning properly. went to treatment on the kidney only to find out her potassium is low...can she get better.

Well the low potassium can be corrected by giving her bananas in her diet, coconut water and potassium supplements. Her treating doctor will know about it.

In old age electrolyte abnormalities are very common . But as you specify that her kidney is not working fine, it needs to be addressed first otherwise this problem will occur again. I will advise you to follow your treating doctor advise and keep a close watch on kidney functions plus the treatment of underlying kidney problem should be initiated at the earliest .
