Suggest Remedy For Severe Abdominal Pain After Suffering From Viral Acute Pancreatitis
I had suffered from Viral Acute Pancreatitis a couple of years back, and was admitted in hospital during that time. Since then, I have been having severe stomach problems (aches) on and off.
Recently, my weight has been increasing alarmingly. My parents suspect it might be some case of thyroid or some after affects of pancreatitis. During pancreatitis my weight was around 78Kgs. In the last 6 months, my weight has increased by over 10 Kgs. I am currently 90 Kgs. My height is 172cms.
I am under no medication currently and do moderate exercises daily. I do not eat too oily food and neither am I sleep deprived.
Please advice me on how I should proceed, and if I should get any blood tests or any other tests done.
Let us get the proper clinical evaluation and investigations.

I would advise you the following:

MRCP for the liver, gall bladder and pancreas to know about the present status.
Tests of blood: Routine and specials like amylase and lipase when in pain, sugar, kidney, liver functions, thyroid functions, lipid profile and whichever are necessary after clinical evaluation.

Many a times weight gain can be due to improvement in the disease one is suffering from.
