Question: For about 2 months i have started having constant ringing in my ears, i had 1 blood discharge during the night on my pillow, if i lay on my side with my head in the pillow its almost like my ear falls asleep and gets painful to the touch, last night while laying down i became nausious. The symptoms worsen during the night. When i am up and moving around during the day, I really don't notice it. I have also noticed some odd heartbeat rhythms in the last 2 or 3 days and that usually occurs when i am resting or lying down? The only medical issue i have is high blood pressure which i control with medication. Can you give me some idea?

Brief answer...consult an ENT specialist
Detailed answer...
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern very well. I know it is very irritating.
You seem to be suffering from pulsatile tinnitus, which is more noticeable in night, because more blood is reaching your brain and there are less noises outside to mask your symptoms.
The cause could be loud noise, use of medications which can damage the nerves In the ear, impacted ear wax, middle ear infections, ageing etc.
Very rarely the cause could be some tumour or vascular abnormality.
Consult an ENT for thorough evaluation and investigations to find the cause.
Once the cause is found, treatment can be devised.
Since you passed some blood, chances are it could be some middle ear infection.
I hope it helps however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
