Question: about 3 - weeks ago, this appeared on my bottom. it seemed like just one day it was there. it hurts, bleeds and is uncomfortable. after defecation it looks fluid filled with white blisters on top. I have been in a 20-year monogamous marriage, never had anal sex and a recent PAP with negative HPV test. embarrassed to ask my Family DR about this. what is it? how do I treat it? thanks!

Brief Answer:
Most Probably hpv

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.

These are genital warts obviously and most commonly caused by hpv type2. This is a sexually transmitted disease and most probably there was recent infection although it may be reactivation of previous infection.
So you should definitely see dermatologist or proctologist and at this phase it still can be cured with less invasive methods such as laser, cryotherapy or podophyllin treatment. In late stages you may need surgical procedure. Feel free to ask any further doubts/ clarifications. Regards

but how would I get this if I have not had sex with anyone other than my husband for 20 years and I've never had anal sex and he and I have been 100% faithful our entire marriage. I also had an hpv test recently that was negative.

Brief Answer:
few possible causes

Detailed Answer:
HI.
It is hard to say what is the primary cause but it looks like infectious genital disease to me. If yu husband is faithful then there is possibliy from contracting through baths, dirty water or on some less common ways but most common is sexual intercourse. Blood HPV test may not be reliable. This lesion shold not be treated at home by home remedies. Biopsy must be taken and professional dermatologic work up done.
