Question: My wife is having gum swelling and has pain. She is also feeding 1 year . What medicine should she take.

Hello,
Thanks for posting a query,

The symptoms your wife is suffering from could be due to gingivitis or ragged tooth. She can apply Metrogyl DG gel for 2 times a day. Give her TAB. SUMO FLAM 1 tablet twice daily for 3 days.
Do lukewarm salt water gargling thrice daily for 3 days.
If still the pain persists then she'll have to consult a dentist and take a course of antibiotic like amox cv which is available only on prescription by a doctor.
