Our skin has sebaceous glands that secrete an oily substance called sebum that lubricates the skin. If the opening of these glands gets blocked, the sebum cannot escape and therefore collects inside. If this sebum is partially exposed, the exposed portion gets oxidised and turns black. This is what we call blackheads. They are just the same even if the occur perianally. The methods of removal match the ones that are used to remove blackheads from any other parts of the body. Bentonite clay can be used.
It is important to 'wash' the perianal region regularly. It will perhaps prevent the blockage of the openings of the sebaceous glands from occurring and that would prevent perianal blackheads from occurring.
