Suggest Medication For Diarrhea While Breastfeeding

Question: Hi

My sister is suffering from diarrhea since last night. She is exclusively breastfeeding her 5 month old girl. She has tried the home remedies but no benefit.

Please advice which medicine she can take while breastfeeding he baby girl. Can she take medicine, if yes please tell name.

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
During breastfeeding, she can take ORS solution to maintain the rehydration of the body.
Tab Furoxone twice a day is safe in breastfeeding to control the diarrhoea.
She can take loperamide tablet if the frequency of stools is more than 5-6 times a day.
