Question: sir
i have met with an accident in the month of january 2015, where in my left legs ankle was hurt and it got sprain, i have consulted local orthopedic doctors . Initially one of them said i have no any crack, however second has said a little crack is there . He plastered my foot. but as i have Parkinson's decease i could not tolerate the plaster as it was very heavy. it irritate and made me uneasy so i removed the plaster and started wearing special shocks as per his advice. after two month again i show him . He said the bone crack is joined well and no need to worry . But since then my pain is continued . Then i show the problem to a renowned surgeon at XXXXXXX He advised me that the bone is joined well but there is a muscle which clips in between two bones so the pain is there during the due course of time pain will be gradually reduced . Now i am tired of this pain . it makes me so uneasy that i could bear it nor i can walk freely. Every 4-5 days interval i have to get injected vovorine pain killer .Then 2-3 days i feel better. again the same problem started . Because of this pain i cannot evaluate as how much improvement has been done .i am surprised as this is what kind of the sprain which cannot be cured after 10 months. i am very confused. because of this problem i get stiffness in the left foot's fingers. So i want to ask you the following questions....
1. is there any remedy is available to correct this problem without operation. because i am a Parkinson patient. and i can not afford to take rest to many days as there is a fear of frizzing of the limbs.
2. is there any harm to take vovorine pain killer injection every 4-5 days,
3. Sorry that my question is became little bit lengthy. Hoping your kind advice on this.

Brief Answer:
Possible Malunion due to muscle interpostion

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

I apologize for the delayed response owing to my hectic work schedule.

I have gone through your query in detail.

Long term intake of pain killers in any form is not advisable This can cause kidney damage.

The need for surgery is high is a muscle clip is trapped between the bone segments.

I would like to know if you had undergone any scan for the same? Please update me with results if any.

Parkinson's disease per say is not a contraindication for surgical intervention.

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe it to you.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.

Hello, Sir.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

I apologize for the delayed response owing to my work schedule.

Parkinson's disease as already said is not an absolute contraindication to surgery.

You may need hospitalization for 5 to 7 days.

This period of stay in your case will not worsen any symptoms of Parkinson's disease.
