Brief Answer:
Suggestive of HIV 1 infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for posting your query.

Your HIV ELISA and rapid tests were reactive since 2013 onward.

HIV reactive report confirmed by 3 different tests as per WHO guidelines and also once at 5 years back.

So I consider your results were conclusive and you are having HIV 1 infection.

Even though Western blot is considered as more confirmatory, in your case western blot would not have been performed in a correct procedure.

Repeat western blot in some other better lab or go for HIV RNA PCR quantitative viral load test to make sure about the stage of your infection. Is XXXXXXX and XXXXXXX are same?

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
Rule out or confirm with HIV PCR tests.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome back.

All three tests were positive for HIV. One more test was reactive during 2013. False positive results in all tests were unheard.

Do you have any other symptoms or signs for any autoimmune disorders which may likely to give false positive reaction rarely.

Extreme low level of immunity or immunosuppressive drugs can cause false negative results and not false positive reports.

Try to take up the following tests to confirm or rule out HIV in your case.
1. DNA PCR (Qualitative and diagnostic for HIV 1 infection)
2. HIV RNA PCR (Quantitative - reveal the degree of infection)

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care,
