My wife is suffering with cough since long back. No medicine work. Recently some test carried out
1. X RAY CHEST –NORMAL
2. TSH—2.92
3. ABSOLUTE EOSINOPHIL COUNT—100
4. IgE ---115.15
5. AFBSMEAR SPUTUM –NO AFB SEEN( THREE TIMES)
6. ANTI NUCLEAR ANTIBODIES IgG IIFA---POSITIVE
7. HRCT—NORMAL
8. TB FERON ----POSITIVE ( GAMMA INTERFERON , NIL TUBE—0.02, GAMMA INTERFERON ,ANTIGEN-2.86
MY QUESTION IS WHETHER TB CONFIRM BY TB FERON RESULT POSITIVE WHERE AS XRAY HRCT SPUTUM NORMAL

No need to worry for TB because of normal CT thorax and negative Sputum AFB report.
Her PFT is suggestive of small Airway obstruction.
So inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) like budesonide inhaler will definitely help her in night time coughing.
Her ANA is positive. So we need to rule out connective tissue diseases (CTD s).
So get done detailed ANA profile to identify type of CTD if at all present.
