Brief Answer:
About parathyroid adenoma surgery,

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I have gone carefully through your concern.
After surgery of parathyroid gland adenoma removal there is a tendency for hypocalcemia as the other 3 parathyroid glands have been suppressed and need some.time to start the activity.
To make this situation more easy ( so the hypocalcemia can be less severe) Vit D supplements are given before the intervention.
There are physician who give it just three days before but there are others who give it for some weeks before the intervention.
Hope the information will help.
Best wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta
