Question: Over the last few days I have noticed that the skin under my foreskin is irritated. Even as water hits it in the shower it is irritated. I have also noticed my body is itchy. I have not started new detergent or hand soaps. I have used a dryer sheet and stopped that. I have also rewashed all underwear. I have also placed vasoline on the foreskin area. how should I proceed? Should I go see my doctor?

Brief Answer:
Allergic reaction, cortisone cream

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor service
I have gone through your query.
It could be an allergic reaction. I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily for 7-8 days.
It should improve your condition.
If it doesn’t improve in a week consult a doctor and go for clinical evaluation.
I hope to have answered your query and would be happy to answer any further queries.
Regards
Dr Asmeet
