My Wife Was Having Stomach Issues Earlier And I Recommended

default

Question: My wife was having stomach issues earlier and I recommended she try drinking some water with baking soda as if done it before for heartburn. I didn’t really remember how much but I knew it wasn’t much. So I mixed about 1/2 - 3/4 of a tablespoon in about a half a glass of water. That was about 2 hours ago and she just called me from work saying she feels like she’s going to hit the floor. Is she ok? Should we be concerned and me take her to the ER?

Brief Answer:
Take her to ER.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Miked4410,
Thanks for asking. I understand your concern.
I guess the dose of sodabicarb given to her was larger one.(Permited dose being half to one tea spoon...where as it was given with a Table spoon.)The dose changes from person to person too.Though if she vomits it out..she may not have severe reaction..still,
Over dose is likely to cause serious reaction (due to chemical action of sodabicarb)...so hurry up...take her to ER..she should get doctor's help earliest.
Its always good to be overcareful than taking it casually...
Hope the answer helps you.
Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks
