My Son Is 2 Years Old. We Observed A Puffiness

Question: My son is 2 years old. We observed a puffiness under his right eye and on one side of left eye near nose last night. His eyes were clear, it seemed that he didn't feel any discomfort then. Swelling increased gradually later at night. He didn't complain about any pain, but he rubbed his eyes many times in his sleep. We went to his paediatrician this morning and the doctor sent us to eye specialist. He prescribed an eye ointment (chlorocol H) ointment and advised to apply it around both eyes and inside right eye thrice a day for 5 days. We have applied it thrice today. The swelling is still increasing. I guess it might take a few days to recover. He has no fever or cold. His urine is clear. I'm uploading a few photos of my son which were taken in the morning, noon and at night. Since tomorrow is Sunday

the query was incomplete. today, our paediatrician wont be available and most clinics won't open. Is it ok to wait for a couple of days under this treatment? How will I know if the treatment is working or not?

Brief Answer:
This is cellulitis

Detailed Answer:
hey thanks for the question . This looks like cellulitis and it needs proper treatment with oral / intravenous antibiotics and antinflmmatory medicines. You should take him to your ophthalmologist again. For signs of progression keep checking his eye movements , swelling , redness vision and spread to the other eye . Hope my answer helps you .
