Question: My mother 94 yrs old has one kidney. 1983 or 84 had a cancerous mass on other kidney so was removed. Had a lumpectomy on breast because of cancer. High blood pressure-takes medicine for thyroid- 2 hip replacements- macular degeneration- vascular dementia-
Xmas 2018 Mom tripped on wheels of a friends electric wheel chair. Fell on right side hurt back- blue on legs, knee- arm- under her armpit and across a portion of her breast. High pain when she coughed or reached for something with right arm( as picking up her coffee cup etc) at nite spit up looked like dried blood - head nurse told me it was chocolate- she threw-up a couple other times while I was there. After Xmas had server sinus infection- UTI at the same time, talking funny at times & seeing things not there. I went to see Mom seeing things again that weren’t there & etc . Mom fell in her bathroom hit her head left a raised bump, nurses took vitals ( Mom at assisted living resident) asked her questions doing & talking mixed up but then seemed to get better. Tuesday went to Dr took tests, a urine test was taken today by assisted living nurse. Hemoglobin was 7. So went to ER then admitted to hospital. Told me yes day also that bump on head down but larger area around bump really hurt, light headed- didn’t feel good- talking unusual for Mom.
Going to do a lower & upper scope maybe tonight or tomorrow morning.
