Dose is .75 mg and yes delusions are less now. They started with .5 . Yes slurred speech in am with the risperdol. Started with confusion with ditropan on it for yrs. She was totally lucid then became confused after a uti. 2 mths ago.
Brief Answer:
It is better to decrease the dose of risperdal
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me with relevant details.
As per the available information I feel that risperdal should be decreased to earlier level. (0.5 mg). It is right to state that we are not supposed to cause harm to the patient and it is possible that o.75 mg of risperdal is cause of slurring of speech.
Regarding delusions and hallucinations I feel 31/2 weeks is not enough time and there is good possibility that with passage of time she will respond better.
In case the slurring of speech was present at 0.5 mg of risperdal than changing medication is suggested.
I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
