Brief Answer:
Cellulitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query and photograph.
It is looking like cellulitis a bacterial infection.
He needs treatment with oral or injectable antibiotics.
I suggest you to meet a doctor soon. If you are not able to meet a doctor you can start a combination of Tablet amoxicillin and clavulanic acid 875 mg + 125 mg three times a day for 5 days and ointment mupirocine local application twice daily for 5 days.
Let me know if you have any doubts.
Thank you

Yes, hes been having cellulitis for several months now. The oral antibiotics havent done much to get rid of it. But the pain and coloring on this are different. I've got to say your answer was very brief and honestly seems as tho you are simply giving the most likely answer from the information given. I told my husband he needs to go to the hospital to be evaluated because of how the bruising is spreading. With his cellulitis his skin was red, not bruised. His toes are turning black. Were you unable to see that from the images? Could this be necrotizing cellulitis, or could it have turned to gangrene?

Brief Answer:
Not gangrene

Detailed Answer:
Hello
It's not necrotizing fasciitis, necrosis that is ulceration must be there to say it is necrotizing fasciitis.
As of now intravenous antibiotics should be sufficient.
If he is getting repeated cellulitis then a blood culture needs to be done for antibiotic sensitivity.
In gangrene the extremities turn cold, just by color change it is not possible to say whether gangrene has developed or not. A color doppler must be done to see the patency of vasculature.
Let me know if you have any doubts.
Thank you
