Brief Answer:
Isolated sore throat as a symptom of Acute HIV infection is much unlikely

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
Acute HIV syndrome will occur only with 50-70% of the individuals. Not with all who infected.
It will manifest with fever, head ache, body pain, sore throat and rashes. These will not be present with all Two or more symptoms may be present. Isolated sore throat alone is very much unlikely. At the same time all these symptoms can occur with many other conditions. So nobody can diagnose Acute HIV infection with signs and symptoms alone. Along with molecular tests (antigen detecting) positive results only one can diagnose Acute HIV infection.
