Brief Answer:
Developmental stimulation is very important.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. There are a few things to ask here:
* Whether the child was born preterm and/or low birth weight?
* Did the child cry after birth?
* Did the child need hospital stay after birth, and if so, why?

The child should achieve head control by 4 months of age. If the age has not been crossed, you need not grow concerned. But if the age has been exceeded, the child needs developmental support and you need to visit a pediatrician for the same. A developmental assessment needs to be done using XXXXXXX II or other tests. Developmental stimulation (certain exercise techniques that need to be demonstrated) would help the child achieve milestones properly.

Please do not ignore it. Early detection and early intervention for developmental delay is very important in order to prevent disabilities.
