Is Poking Pain, Redness And Burning Sensation In The Lower Left Vermilion Border A Sign Of Herpes Infection Through Use Of Unclean Dental Equipment?

Question: hello doctor
this is XXXX. Last wednesday i had a session of deep cleaning at my dentist clinic for the upper right side of the teeth. the doctor used anesthesia ( traditional syringe ones not the wand machine that they use these days). since today the left side lower vermillion border feels weird . at one particular spot i feel sometimes like a poking pain and that point is slightly red .. i do not know whether i am overthinking this because of my fear for herpes. the reason for my fear is the that i did not see the doctor taking out the scaling ( cleaning tips) from the sterile pouch . i only saw it in the tray right beside her . last time itself when i had such doubt the entire dental clinic assured me that they will never do such things and they take cross infection control very seriously. ( but i am unable to believe them- why would anyone accept their fault). please could you take a look at the pics and tell me what should i do ... i am so scared ... petrified .... you know about my fear very well. the area that i am mentioning to you feels more like as though the skin seems to be peeled off ( mixed of burning and pricking sensation). i am so scared doctor .... please help me ....

Not looking like herpes, don't worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have gone to your recent complaints and reviewed the attached photographs.
I can appreciate slight dryness near the left lower vermillion border.
There are no signs and symptoms suggestive of herpes.
Don't worry as it is not herpes.
Just apply hydrocortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily for few days and continue with sebamed lip balm.

The inner line of the upper lip ( the part which gets covered when we closer our lips that place I am saying especially the mid part of the inner lips ) was very dry and peely for couple of days so had to wipe it off with cotton buds . Now when I see that are looks red ( how it looks when we peel off the skin) also at times it feels pricking and sometimes a burning sensation . Brief Answer:
It's not herpes

Detailed Answer:
I have reviewed the newly attached photographs and can see slight redness on the inner side of upper lip but it is simply because of peeling of the skin.
It is not due to herpes.
Just keep the area moisturised and don't do picking and licking of the lips.
Don't worry as visit to a dentist won't cause herpes as doctors are very careful about the sterilisation of their instruments.

Hello doctor
Since today morning the right side of the lips feels very dry and tight . In the evening I felt like hot flushes feeling over there and when I saw in the mirror there was some redness like a patch in the right side lower vermillion border towards the corner . I then applied hydrocortisone cream for three hours and wiped it off now there is no redness but I feel dry and right . Also while the cream was applied I felt there was sharp burning sensation every now and then in the border if the vermillion border right side . I have attached pics please doctor take a look and let me know if they are fine ... please tell me what should I do . I am so scared of herpes doctor. Please help me . I had gone to the dentist last Wednesday for a session of deep cleaning and I did not see them taking the scaling tip from the pouch so I am very much scared .

Hello doctor
Since yesterday night my throat feels weird like sometimes itchy feeling sometimes it feels dry sometimes burning sensation but more of the feeling comes from upper throat ( near the uvula pharynx region) so I decided to do salt water gargling. But while doing it ( felt burning sensation) and even after it got sometimes it was burning( have cup of room temperature horlicks and plain water was soothing) . I eat only plain curd rice for the past five days .
1) last week I felt similar situation where there was a small minute ulcer formation in the area connecting uvula and tonsils when I went last Wednesday to check dentist said it could because of spicy or hot food and went ahead with cleaning .
2)yesterday also while gargling I felt similarly but the burning sensation was more towards the upper throat I felt ( I have taken pics as far as I could see and stretch my mouth) I am so scared of herpes doctor . The internet says sometimes it can come in throat also that’s why I am so petrified
3) one more thing is for the past one week I am having gastritis kind of pain in upper stomach ( more of someone is pressing my upper stomach burning sensation) could it be because of the anxiety and stress please help me
