Hi and thank you so much for this query.

Fastin contains the same active ingredient, phentermine.

Not all countries around the world have made it a strict prescription drug. In the USA, it is not a prescription medication yet. But ideally, it should make its name on to the list of prescription drugs.

Laboratories have the right to make their drug directly available to the public or not. May be the manufacturers of the brand fastin do not have this restriction that it should be strictly on prescription while those of phentermine have decided it must be obtained by prescription only. This is the most likely reason why.

The only thing that obliges laboratory to make it a prsecription drug is an FDA law. But FDA has not made it a prescription drug as of now and laboratories decide on how they want it sold to the general public.

Hope this answers your query fully.
Wish you well and success with your on going efforts to loose some weight. it is always a healthy habit and encouraged. Feel free to ask me follow up related questions if need be.
