Question: recently given a week worth of Lorazepam for anxiety. Also have, but do not regularly take Trazadone. Not mix the two?

Was diagnosed with anxiety disorder after Viet Nam. Have taken in the past, Paxil, Zoloft, good results in the past but had trouble with blurred vision and sleeplessness. Am now retired, live alone, and anxiety seems to come out of nowhere.

Brief Answer:

Increased sedation with the combination.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Both increase sedation and it is possible that you may feel drowsy the following day.

There is also increased the risk of dizziness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating with the combination.

These effects do not occur with everyone and it is possible that you may not have any issues but this cannot be predicted.

If you do not need to work the next day or need to do any activities that would require a lot of concentration, then you can consider trying but should let your doctor know that you are using both.

Hope I have answered your query.
