Question: I had diverticulitis last year and had two operations. One to remove part of the bowel and the other a reversal. The reversal was October 2017. It left me with diastasis but no pain anywhere. A week or so ago while sitting downwith legs exended I had sharp pain in lower right side, in pelvic area. In a couple of minutes when I stood up the pain was gone. This occurred two days ago and an hour ago. Please advise.

Brief Answer:
Pain possibly unrelated to diverticulitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,

I can certainly understand your concern.

I have worked through your attached query in detail.

As per your description, these events of pain are largely unrelated to diverticulitis.

This pain could possibly be related to excessive physical exertion or sudden unusual posture or lifting weights.

Oral analgesics like Ibuprofen, Naproxen are required only if the pain is of unbearable severity and frequent in occurrence.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you
